The Online Letter Writing Party is an event to raise awareness of an Amnesty International campaign to have a trade unionist from Venezuela freed from prison. His name is Ruben Gonzalez, he’s 60 and he was arrested during a peaceful protest for workers’ rights.

He’s been in prison for 2 years now and the whole time has been denied medical care for his kidney failure. The event is to encourage people to send letters to the Embassy demanding his release

Kaya Ebony will be explaining what to write and how sending letters helps and there’ll be poetry, music and the chance to enter a free raffle!
